Ushuaia: 2-night traditional program
2-night basic program to enjoy the Southernmost City in the World

A great program to enjoy the best of Ushuaia, the city of the end of the world in two nights
Discover Ushuaia in 2 Nights
This itinerary provides an excellent introduction to Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city, set between the snow-capped Martial Mountains and the legendary Beagle Channel. Upon arrival at Ushuaia International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure to relax or take part in one of the optional excursions available. The following day begins with a half-day tour of Tierra del Fuego National Park, where you can explore pristine forests, lakes, and valleys, and even opt for a ride aboard the historic End of the World Train. In the afternoon, enjoy a navigation through the Beagle Channel, sailing past colonies of sea lions and seabirds and admiring the emblematic Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse. On your final morning, after breakfast and depending on the timing of your departure, you may choose to add an extra short activity before your transfer back to the airport.
OUR RECOMMENDATION
If you only have a short time in Ushuaia, I highly recommend this 2-night program. When I experienced it, I was amazed at how much I could see and do in just a couple of days. The excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park gave me the chance to walk through untouched forests and reach Lapataia Bay, which felt like standing at the edge of the world. Riding the End of the World Train added a historic touch and helped me understand more about the region’s past. In the afternoon, the navigation along the Beagle Channel was unforgettable — watching sea lions up close and seeing the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse surrounded by snowy peaks was a true highlight. Even with limited time, this itinerary allowed me to capture the spirit of Ushuaia and its breathtaking landscapes.

Tierra del Fuego National Park + Beagle Channel Navigation
Full day visiting Tierra del Fuego NP + Beagle Channel Navigation
After breakfast, we will set out on a half-day excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park before your transfer to the airport in the afternoon.
Tierra del Fuego National Park, situated at the southern tip of Argentina in the province of Tierra del Fuego, is a breathtaking protected area celebrated for its dramatic scenery, ecological variety, and remarkable biodiversity. Created in 1960, the park extends across more than 63,000 hectares, embracing a mosaic of landscapes that include mountains, dense forests, winding rivers, and rugged coastlines.
Travelers to the park can follow numerous hiking paths that weave through untouched wilderness, offering the chance to encounter distinctive flora and fauna. The reserve shelters an array of species such as guanacos, foxes, beavers, and countless birds, making it a sanctuary for wildlife lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
One of its most emblematic spots is the magnificent Lapataia Bay, where sweeping views of surrounding peaks and shoreline unfold. The bay also marks the final point of the legendary Pan-American Highway, which adds to its significance as a must-visit landmark at the “End of the World.”
For a gentler way to enjoy the park, the famous End of the World Train provides a memorable ride aboard a historic steam locomotive. Following a scenic route through valleys, forests, and rivers, the train allows passengers to appreciate the stunning scenery while uncovering the region’s fascinating past.
The End of the World Train, named for its location at the world’s southernmost railway station, sheds light on Ushuaia’s origins as a penal colony and the importance of the railway in local development. Guests can discover stories of the early settlers and indigenous peoples, all while taking in the extraordinary landscapes from the comfort of vintage carriages.
Combining a guided visit to Tierra del Fuego National Park with a ride on this legendary railway gives travelers a rich and unforgettable experience, blending natural wonders with cultural heritage in one of the most remote and captivating corners of the globe. Whether venturing on foot through the wilderness or enjoying the journey by train, visitors will be enthralled by the charm and diversity of Tierra del Fuego.
After returning to the city, enjoy free time for lunch at leisure, followed by an afternoon navigation on the Beagle Channel.
Sailing through the Beagle Channel towards Isla de Lobos is a mesmerizing adventure that reveals the unspoiled beauty of South America’s southernmost waters. Isla de Lobos, or “Sea Lion Island,” is one of the many striking islets dotting the channel, renowned for its thriving colonies of South American sea lions.
The journey begins in Ushuaia, where boats depart into the shimmering waters of the Beagle Channel. As the vessel moves across the bay, passengers are rewarded with spectacular views of jagged mountains, dramatic coastlines, and secluded islands scattered across the horizon.
On arrival at Isla de Lobos, travelers are greeted by the sight and sound of countless sea lions lounging on the rocks or splashing in the clear waters. The island also hosts abundant birdlife, including cormorants, albatrosses, and petrels, making it a true paradise for birdwatchers and photographers alike.
Guided by expert naturalists, visitors may step ashore to explore the island, observe its wildlife at close range, and learn more about the unique marine ecosystem of the Beagle Channel. These tours also provide fascinating insights into the geological features and cultural stories of the region.
After an enriching stop at Isla de Lobos, the navigation continues through the channel, passing landmarks such as Bridges Island and the iconic Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse. Along the way, keep watch for dolphins, seals, and occasionally whales breaking the surface of the sea.
The Beagle Channel navigation to Isla de Lobos offers an extraordinary chance to engage with nature and appreciate one of the most pristine and secluded regions on Earth.
