Ushuaia, the capital of Tierra del Fuego, sits on the edge of the Beagle Channel and is framed by the Martial Mountains, offering a stunning combination of sea, mountains, forests, and glaciers unique to Argentina.
The tour takes us through Barrio La Misión, where the city was founded in 1884, and by the Provincial Legislature, formerly the Government House. We’ll continue to a higher section of the city with breathtaking panoramic views of Ushuaia and the Beagle Channel.
We’ll also pass by traditional homes of some of the first Fuegian families. On our return, we’ll explore the local industrial area, finishing at the Maritime Museum and former Presidio. Visitors may choose to stay and explore the museum (admission not included) or return by bus to their hotel.
If you’re interested in including the Prison Museum, check out the “Ushuaia City with Museum of the Prison” option, or add it as an extra during checkout.
