After breakfast, we will set out on a half-day excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park, before heading to the airport later in the afternoon.

Situated at the southernmost tip of Argentina, Tierra del Fuego National Park is a spectacular natural reserve admired for its dramatic landscapes, varied ecosystems, and rich wildlife. Created in 1960, it spans more than 63,000 hectares and includes mountains, dense forests, rivers, and coastal zones.

Visitors to the park can follow numerous walking trails that weave through untouched wilderness, offering the chance to observe the area’s remarkable flora and fauna. Species such as beavers, foxes, guanacos, and a wide array of birds inhabit the park, making it a haven for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

A highlight of the park is the scenic Lapataia Bay, where travelers can admire sweeping views of the mountains and shoreline. This bay is also famous for marking the southernmost end of the Pan-American Highway, a true landmark for adventurers.

The island, named after its colonies of South American sea lions, welcomes travelers with the sights and sounds of these playful creatures resting on the rocks or swimming nearby.

Departing from Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city, boats glide across sparkling waters surrounded by snowy peaks, rugged coasts, and remote islets. Apart from the sea lions, Isla de Lobos is a sanctuary for birdlife, with cormorants, albatrosses, and petrels often spotted in flight.

Guided by expert naturalists, visitors gain insights into the behavior of the sea lions, the bird species, and the unique ecosystems of the Beagle Channel. The navigation continues past remarkable points of interest, including the picturesque Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse and the scenic Bridges Island. Penguin Encounter Experience

After breakfast, you will have some free time before starting one of the most remarkable activities of the trip: the Penguin Walk.

The excursion begins with a pick-up at Ushuaia’s main port, where we embark on a navigation along the Beagle Channel heading northeast for about two and a half hours. Along the way, we pass by several islands home to colonies of sea lions and stop to admire the bird island, inhabited by imperial cormorants and other seabirds. We also sail past one of Argentina’s most iconic landmarks, the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, the southernmost beacon in the country.

The journey continues until reaching Harberton Ranch, a historic estancia, where we transfer to small zodiac boats. After a short 15-minute ride, we arrive at Martillo Island. Here, accompanied by an expert guide, we disembark and spend about 30 minutes walking among the charming Gentoo (Papua) penguins that reside on the island year-round.

Throughout the visit, the guide shares valuable insights about the penguins and the surrounding ecosystem, while also ensuring that visitors respect the strict conservation rules of the island. The experience is truly unforgettable, offering a rare opportunity to observe these gentle animals up close in their natural environment.

The excursion begins at 2:00 pm and lasts approximately 7 hours in total, combining scenic navigation, wildlife encounters, and an extraordinary walk with penguins at the End of the World.
