OUR RECOMMENDATION
If you’re planning a trip to Ushuaia, I strongly suggest spending at least three nights in this unique destination. When I stayed there, I felt that this amount of time was ideal — long enough to combine discovery with moments of relaxation.
One of the experiences I treasured most was exploring Tierra del Fuego National Park. Reaching Lapataia Bay and realizing I was standing at the very end of the Pan-American Highway was truly moving. Another unforgettable moment was navigating the Beagle Channel: watching the sea lions resting on the rocky islets and sailing past the famous Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse created a magical atmosphere.
On my third day, I joined a fishing day, with a specialized local guide, and it was remarkable to learn more about the fishing activities and species that inhabit Tierra del Fuego — such as the brown trout, the rainbow trout, the lake trouth and the Chinook Salmon (King Salmon)
Finally, as my flight leave in the afternoon, I dedicated some free time to hike towards Laguna Esmeralda, where the vivid turquoise waters framed by rugged peaks left an image in my memory that I’ll never forget.
Ushuaia is not only about breathtaking landscapes; the warmth of its people, the charm of the city, and the feeling of being at the “End of the World” make it a destination unlike any other. That’s why I always encourage travelers to allow themselves enough time here — so they can savor every moment without rushing.
